Margaret Loncki - Women's Golf

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Margaret Loncki (CMC) had a very strong showing at both the Cal Lutheran Regals Invitational, and at the Jekyll Island Invitational, one of the toughest tournaments in the country. Her consistency earned her the top spot on the leaderboard at Cal Lutheran and second-place at Jekyll Island. She led No. 4 CMS to two first-place team finishes over the course of the week.

Loncki started her week by winning the Cal Lutheran Regals Invitational on Monday, helping lead CMS to a first-place finish as a team. Loncki earned medalist honors with a two-day total of 146 (+2) after rounds of 75 (+3) and 71 (-1). She was the only player in the field to fire a round under-par on the 5,807 yard course, with a one-under, 71 on Tuesday. At the Jekyll Island Invitational in Georgia, Loncki led the Athenas to a first-place finish where CMS held off No. 1 NYU and No. 12 Methodist to win the tournament. Lonkci led the Athenas on the weekend with a second-place finish in the individual standings. Loncki shot three-over across the three rounds, including a one-over, 73 in the final round to finish firmly in second-place.
