Bryn McKillop - Women's Track and Field

CLAREMONT, Calif. – Bryn McKillop (SC) earned All-American honors at the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships after finishing on the podium at an NCAA meet for the second time this school-year. On Saturday, she finished as the National Runner-Up in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 9:39.04. In the fall, McKillop earned her first National Runner-Up finish at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.

During the 15-lap race on Saturday, McKillop was in the lead pack of the 17-runner field for the majority of the race. In the final 400 meters, Brandeis' Emily Bryson pulled away to earn the National Championship. McKillop hustled to the line and earned National Runner-Up honors by edging third-place finisher Emily Richards of Ohio Northern (9:39.29) by less than three tenths of a second.  

With All-American finishes from Tyra Abraham (SC) and McKillop, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps finished the Championships tied for 18th-place with 12 points in their first appearance at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championship Meet.

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s track and field team is back in action on Saturday at the Redlands Invitational.
