CLAREMONT, Calif. – Scott Lynds (CMC) led the Stags to their sixth SCIAC Tournament Title this weekend, setting the pace in both the Semifinals win over Chapman on Friday and Saturday’s huge victory over Pomona-Pitzer in the Championship Game. The Stags punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament and will head to Walla Walla, Wash. for the First Round on Friday. They open up with Whitworth in a rematch of their 2017 First Round match.

Lynds led the scoring efforts in the SCIAC Tournament Semifinals on Friday against Chapman, dropping 19 points and dishing out three assists. With the 83-72 win over the Panthers, the Stags advanced to Saturday’s Championship Game.

The senior from Laguna Nigel, Calif. shined in the Championship Game and was named the Tournament's MVP after a 29-point performance. He also collected two rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the 86-62 win over the rival Sagehens to secure the program’s third Tournament Title in the last four years.
