Ben Culberson - Swim and Dive

CLAREMONT, Calif. – Freshman Ben Culberson (CMC) is named CMS Athlete of the Week after a historic performance in the Stags’ 167-129 victory over rival Pomona-Pitzer over the weekend. After PP won the men’s and women’s medley relays to start the swimming portion, Culberson delivered with a huge win in the 1000-yard freestyle to fire up CMS. His 9:45.96 race puts him at No. 7 in program history. Later in the meet, Culberson swam a jaw-dropping race in the 500-yard freestyle. He bested a pool record last set by Alex Mendoza in 2015 by more than two seconds at 4:38.96.
