Briana Halle – Softball
(2/29 – 3/6) – In four games over the weekend that saw the Athenas go a combined 4-0 at home against Redlands and Pomona-Pitzer, Briana Halle (CMC) went 6-for-9 at the plate with six RBI, two walks and 1.000 slugging percentage. The sophomore from Santa Ana, Calif. had multi-hit games in the second game against Redlands and the first game against Pomona-Pitzer. She went 3-for-3 with five RBI in the 10-7 win over Redlands and went 2-for-2 in the 5-0 win over Pomona-Pitzer. Halle nearly hit for the cycle against Redlands (single, double and triple). In the game she had a three-run triple, and an RBI double and an RBI single. The Athenas are now alone at the top of SCIAC at 9-1 and are traveling to Columbus, Ga. to play in the NFCA Leadoff Classic March 11-13.
