Bio

Laughery is one of two players in CMS baseball history to earn All-America honors twice. He earned first-team All-SCIAC and first-team All-Region honors in 1996 and 1997. In 1996, after being named the SCIAC Player of the Year, he was named second-team All-America. In 1997, after being named the Claremont McKenna College Male Athlete of the Year, he was named first-team All-America. A four-year starter in baseball, Laughery was the team's co-MVP in 1995 and MVP in 1996 and 1997. The '96 and '97 teams both finished 17-4 in SCIAC play and the '96 team advanced to the NCAA Championships. In addition to baseball, Laughery also played football for three years and earned second-team All-SCIAC honors as a punter in 1995. Laughery holds the CMS single-season records for doubles (23), hits (73), total bases (124), RBI (60) and home runs (13). He also holds the CMS career records for doubles (66), total bases (357) and RBI (159).
