Bio

Susank was the best thrower in CMS history upon graduation. He broke records established in the 1965 shot put and discus, and the 1986 hammer. In 1994, his 204-foot, 10-inch hammer throw was the No. 1 throw in the nation; his shot put of 53 feet, 5 inches was No. 3; and his 162 feet, 0 inches in discus was No. 10. Susank scored more points at the SCIAC Championships (94) and NCAA Championships (26) than any other CMS athlete. Personal accomplishments: NCAA Champion, hammer throw (1994), NCAA All-America (1992), (2nd), 1993 (2nd), 1994 (1st), SCIAC Athlete of the Year (1993, 1994), seven-time SCIAC Champion (hammer throw - 1992, 1993, 1994), (shot put - 1993, 1994) and (discus - 1993, 1994), Team MVP (1994). Records established: SCIAC meet (198-1 hammer throw), school (204-10 hammer throw), (53-5, shot put), (162-0 discus). He was CMC Male Athlete of the Year (1994) and he lettered in track & field all four years.
