Bio
Pignotti was known as a ''tough out.'' He struck out only 26 times in 520 career at-bats and only twice his entire senior season! An excellent catcher, he had a career fielding average of .956. Individual awards: NCAA III All-America (1979), NCAA III first-team All-District VIII (1978, 1979), first-team All-SCIAC (1977, 1979), second-team All-SCIAC (1978), Team MVP (1977), Team Captain (1979). He lettered in baseball for four years.
