Bio

Halas was a key player on three of four SCIAC championship water polo teams. He was a tremendous utility player, excelling in any role necessary, either on offense or defense. He was also an outstanding team swimmer, contributing significantly to the national relays of the Claremont-Mudd swim team, as well as three conference swimming championships. Water polo: first-team All-SCIAC (1969, 1971), second-team All-SCIAC (1970), Team Captain (1971). Swimming: NAIA relay All-America (1970, 1972). He lettered in water polo for four years and swimming three years.
