Bio
Like his colleagues in the athletic department, Sacks considered himself an educator and character former. So beloved was Sacks that in 1972, students voluntarily raised a purse to send him and his wife to Hawaii. On the night of Jan. 28, 1978, alumni gathered for an evening celebrating Sacks' 15 years as trainer. More than 150 alumni testimonial letters were presented to Sacks as a thank you. He retired in 1976.
