CMS closed 2016 at No. 12 in final fall Directors’ Cup standings

In the third and final NCAA Division III Learfield Directors’ Cup standings for the fall of 2016, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps finished in 12th nationally with a total of 210.00 points (last year CMS also had 210 points in the fall and sat in 12th). CMS’ top-15 fall ranking is the highest among D-III programs in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) and on the West Coast. The final fall standings were released on Dec. 22 by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). Women’s cross country (15th — 60 points), men’s cross country (fifth — 75 points), women’s soccer (17th – 50 points), and women’s volleyball (33rd – 25 points) were the fall teams for CMS that placed at its respective NCAA Championships, and earned points for CMS.
