Cross Country season recap
The Stags finished in fifth place at the NCAA Division III Championships in November for the highest finish at nationals in program history. Senior Kyle Lund (HMC ’17) was the fastest finisher for the Stags, taking eighth at 24:32.5. The Athenas finished in 15th nationally and junior Bryn McKillop (SCR ’18) was the top finisher for the Athenas, taking ninth overall at a time of 20:53.5. Both Lund and McKillop were All-Americans in 2016. Senior Joshua Sealand (HMC ’17) earned All-America status as well for the Stags. To qualify for nationals, the Stags and Athenas placed first and second, respectively, at the D-III West Regional after both teams won the SCIAC Championship meet this season.
