====================== Fall – Men========================

Men’s Cross Country
The CMS cross country teams had the past week off to prepare for the NCAA West Regional competition on Nov. 14 in Claremont. The Stags won the SCIAC Championships for the fourth-straight year last week thanks to second- and third-place finishes from Zorg Loustalet (HMC ’16) and Evan Molineux (CMC ’16). Five of the men’s racers finished among the top-10.

Football
The Stags have now won four games in a row thanks to a 49-3 trouncing of Whittier on Nov. 7. Trey Reynolds (CMC ’17) threw four touchdown passes, two of which were to tight end Chris Cziesla (CMC ’18). Reynolds also found Matthew Orehek (CMC ’17) twice for scores as CMS racked up more than 450 yards of total offense. The 6-2 (5-1 SCIAC) Stags host Pomona-Pitzer in a Sixth Street Rivalry showdown Nov. 14 at Zinda Field with kickoff set for 1 p.m. A win over Pomona-Pitzer and a loss by La Verne would give CMS a share of its first conference championship since 1987.

Men’s Water Polo
Another undefeated week added two more victories over Whittier and Chapman to the Stags’ 13-match winning streak. CMS defeated Whittier in a thrilling 14-13 contest that came down to the wire. Peter Tilton (CMC ’18) scored the game-winner with one second remaining on the game clock to keep the Stags undefeated in the conference and keep them in the top-20 nationally among all NCAA men’s water polo teams. CMS has one more match this week, Nov. 11 at Pomona-Pitzer, before the SCIAC Championships from Nov. 20-22 which are hosted by La Verne.
