Winter Sports Update
December and January are two of the quieter months on the CMS Athletics calendar, but that doesn’t mean there still isn’t plenty going on. CMS’ four winter sports – basketball and swimming & diving for the Stags and Athenas – are all in the early portion of their SCIAC schedules. The Athenas basketball team has won seven-straight games, has a 11-2 record, and are tied for first in the SCIAC standings. In the pool, the Athenas were 4-0 in SCIAC dual meet competition, most recently earning a victory over Pomona-Pitzer. For the Stags, the basketball team is 8-4 overall, 2-1 in SCIAC, and the swim & dive team has defeated three of its four SCIAC competitors so far.
