SCIAC honors All-Academic Team for 2015-16
PASADENA, Calif. – Claremont-Mudd-Scripps was represented by 201 student-athletes on the 2015-16 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) All-Academic Team. The SCIAC recognizes student-athletes who have achieved at least a cumulative 3.4 grade point average and completed one full year at their institution.
The college breakdown of the CMS honorees is: 146 Claremont McKenna, 23 Harvey Mudd, and 32 Scripps. This is the first year that the SCIAC is releasing just one All-Academic Team at the end of the year, allowing freshmen to be included. First year students made up the largest group for CMS at 61 honorees. Forty-one of the CMS student-athletes earning All-Academic honors (just over 20 percent) are dual sport athletes.
The pursuit of academic excellence and athletic achievement remains at the heart of CMS Athletics.
