Club Women's Rugby

  The Claremont Foxes Women’s Rugby team continued their Spring 2018 campaign as they traveled south to a midseason clash with Long Beach State.  The 49ers had marked themselves as potential league favorites by winning the DIV II division of the Scrum by the Sea preseason tournament.  However, the Foxes jumped out to a 29-10 lead by the half and ran away 43-17 winners.  Try scorers included Dana Alimena (PZ’19), Ali Parker (SC’20) and Cam Sancristan (SC’18) and strong play by Elena Seifort (CMC’19) .The win leaves the Foxes at 3-0 in the league and ties for first with UC-Irvine (3-0).  The Foxes continue their league season next Saturday with travel to 2014 DIV II Champion UC-Riverside.
