Lane And Lim Named SCIAC Athletes Of The Week
Alex Lane and Kristin Lim have been selected SCIAC Athletes of the Week for the week of April 18-24.
Lane was named SCIAC Player of the Year after leading the Stags to their sixth straight SCIAC title. He partnered with Brandon Wei at #2 doubles to win 8-2 in the team's 7-2 win over Cal Lutheran and 8-4 in the team's 8-1 win over Pomona-Pitzer. He won at #1 singles 6-4, 7-5 against Cal Lu beating the reigning SCIAC player of the year and avenging his lone SCIAC loss of the season and 5-7, 6-2, 10-3 against Pomona-Pitzer. Lane finished 13-1 in SCIAC singles and doubles this season and is 35-8 overall. CMS is 24-3 overall and finished 8-0 in SCIAC.
Lim was named SCIAC Player of the Year after finishing the SCIAC season undefeated in singles and doubles. She and partner Crystal Lim remain undefeated at #1 doubles against all competition this spring after winning 8-3 in the team's 5-1 win over Caltech, 8-2 in the team's 9-0 win over Cal Lutheran and 8-3 in the team's 6-3 loss to Pomona-Pitzer. She remains undefeated against all competition this spring in singles as she won at #1 6-0, 6-0 against Cal Lu and 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 against Pomona-Pitzer. Lim is the top ranked singles and doubles player in the West Region with a 33-0 combined record this spring. CMS is 18-2 overall and finished 9-1 in SCIAC (t1st).
