Collin Christensen enters his fifth season for the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Men and Women's Cross Country teams in the 2020 season. Prior his time at CMS, Christensen worked with the Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country teams at Biola University, starting out as a volunteer in 2013 and 2014, before working as the Lead Assistant in 2014-2015.

During Christensen's time coaching with Biola, the women have won the Golden State Athletic Conference twice and finished in the top-10 at the NAIA Indoor National Championships twice.

Also during this time, the Eagles amassed 21 NAIA All-American awards in men and women's events ranging from pole vault to the 3,000m to the 4x800m relay, all while improving 18 men's and women's school records. Most importantly, these teams accumulated 48 Daktronics-NAIA Track and Field Scholar-Athletes, the highest total amongst all the schools in the GSAC. The 2014 Women's Outdoor Track and Field team had the 4th-highest GPA (3.81) in the nation across all NAIA sports and was one of six NAIA Scholar Teams in Christensen's tenure, one for each season and gender.

Originally from Wheaton, Illinois, Christensen started his undergraduate education at Wheaton College, before transferring to Biola University and completing his B.A. in English. He is currently working on his Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University-Irvine.

While at Biola, Christensen competed in cross country and track and field for the Eagles, becoming a national qualifier in both sports. In 2012, he helped the men's team qualify for the NAIA Cross Country National Championships for the first time since 1999. At the National Championships, Christensen set a personal record, completing the 8,000m course in 25:02, and placed 38th, pacing the Eagles to a 23rd-place team finish. On the track, Christensen was an All-GSAC competitor in the 5,000m and 1,000m, as well as a national qualifier and former school record-holder in the half-marathon, with a time of1:11:01. Other track personal records include 8:46 for 3,000m, 15:28 for 5,000m, 32:06 for 10,000m.

Christensen currently resides in La Mirada with his wife, Kathleen, and enjoys reading, running, and watching the Chicago Bulls.
