Jerry Jiang begins his second year as an assistant coach for the CMS Athenas for the 2020-21 season. In his first year, he helped CMS to a 14-0 record and a No. 1 national ranking at the time when spring sports were suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A 2019 graduate of Bowdoin College, Jiang had a fantastic collegiate career with the Polar Bears. As a two-time All-American in doubles and one-time All-American in singles, Jiang helped the Polar Bears to their first NCAA men’s team title in 2016 and two NESCAC conference titles in 2017 and 2018. He was also a part of Bowdoin's NCAA finalist team in 2018 and semifinalist team in 2017.
As an individual, Jiang won the NCAA Doubles Championship in 2019, and he currently holds the most doubles wins record at Bowdoin. He also won the ITA New England Region men’s doubles championship in 2017 and 2019 and NESCAC Rookie of the Year in 2016.
