Nicole Tan Advances to Second Phase of NCAA Woman of the Year Voting

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The NCAA officially announced the conference-level nominees for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award today, and CMS senior women's tennis player Nicole Tan is one of 161 student-athletes across the country who remain in the running for the prestigious national honor.
CMS Women's Tennis Places 13 on ITA Scholar-Athlete Team

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The No. 1-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's tennis team had just as much success in the classroom as it did on the court this season, placing a total of 13 players on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Scholar-Athlete Team, given to student-athletes with a 3.5 GPA or higher during the 2019-20 academic year.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Senior Nicole Tan had the enviable experience of winning a national championship in 2018, as the CMS women's tennis team defeated 5-4 on its home courts to take home the first NCAA Division III title in program history. She was hoping to duplicate that experience this spring, with CMS standing at 14-0 and ranked No. 1 in the nation when the spring season was abruptly cut short.
