Lewis, Doud Earn SCIAC Weekly Honors for CMS Women's Swim and Dive

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Augusta Lewis earned the SCIAC Women's Swimmer of the Week award, and Izzy Doud captured the Diver of the Week honor for events through Sunday, Jan.8, the conference office announced today.

Lewis rejoined the CMS roster after taking the fall semester off and got right back to her All-American form with four individual wins in two meets. She won the 300-yard individual medley in a distance dual with Division I California Baptist by a margin of over six seconds, and then won the 300-yard breaststroke by 1.7 seconds. She added a 200 breast win in a dual with Whittier on Saturday by 1.5 seconds, and won the 200 IM by seven seconds. She was also part of a 500 medley relay win against CBU and a 200 medley relay win against Whittier.

Doud, meanwhile, earned a first-place and a second-place finish on the two diving boards in the dual win over Whittier on Saturday. She earned first in the three-meter with 252.08 points and then added a runner-up to teammate Makenna Parkinson in the one-meter with 276.23 points.

Doud captured the honor for the second time this season, after also winning it following a season-opening dual at UC San Diego. Makenna Parkinson has earned the Diver of the Week honor twice as well, while Emma Ng Pack won it once, giving CMS five Diver of the Week wins in its five weeks of competition. Mackenzie Mayfield also previously won the Swimmer of the Week award after a tri-meet with Chapman and Caltech.

CMS will be back in action this weekend, with the divers competing at the UCLA Diving Invitational from Friday-Sunday, and the full team heading to Redlands for a SCIAC dual on Saturday.
