Bio

Caelyn Smith enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's soccer team in 2023. 

Smith played for the Athenas for two seasons (2021-22) after transferring from Colgate University after her freshman campaign. She overcame an injury-shortened junior season to become a regular starter for the Athenas as a senior, helping CMS reach the conference championship game for the first time since 2016. 

A Southern California native, Smith attended El Dorado High School in Placentia, where she helped her team to three league championships and four CIF bids, including a quarterfinal appearance in the state tournament. 

Smith was a three-time SCIAC All-Academic team selection, while majoring in environment, economics and politics (EEP) at Claremont McKenna.
