Corie Hack Earns Google Cloud Academic All-District Honors for CMS Women's Lacrosse

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Senior Corie Hack, who graduates from Claremont McKenna this weekend as the No. 2 all-time goal-scorer in Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's lacrosse history, earned a spot on the Google Cloud At-Large Academic All-District team, in a vote of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced today.

By earning a spot on the Google Cloud At-Large Academic All-District team, Hack is now eligible for Academic All-America honors, which will be announced later this month. The At-Large Team includes student-athletes from multiple different sports, including lacrosse, tennis, golf, swimming and diving, field hockey, ice hockey, and water polo.

Hack was named the SCIAC Offensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row, after leading the Athenas with 72 goals and 14 assists for 86 points. She became only the fifth player in school history to record 200 career points at Montclair State on March 17, and then became only the third to record 200 goals when she had a first-half hat trick against Pomona-Pitzer on her Senior Day on April 20, before finishing with six goals.

Hack and her senior class also finished off their careers with 36 wins in a row against SCIAC opponents, including three straight 10-0 regular seasons and three straight conference championships. She had six goals in an NCAA Tournament game against Colorado College last year, and scored twice in a 14-8 defeat to Amherst in this year's NCAA Tournament. She had at least one goal in 71 of her 72 career games, including her last 66 in a row, since being held scoreless in her sixth career game against Montclair State as a freshman.

A first-team IWLCA All-Region selection a year ago, Hack has been named All-SCIAC all four of her seasons, including three first-team selections, and was also chosen to the SCIAC All-Academic team. She will earn her degree in science and management from Claremont McKenna this weekend, and was presented with the Claremont McKenna Alumnia Association Outstanding Athlete Award for Women at CMC's Senior Awards Banquet on Wednesday night.
