CMS Women's Golf in Third After First day of SCIAC No. 2

POMONA, Calif. - The Pomona-Pitzer women's golf team is in third place after the first day of the second SCIAC regular season tournament, which was held on Saturday at Mountain Meadows Golf Club.

Jeissy Lee is the top individual for the Athenas after shooting a 74 (+4) in her first round, including birdies on her last two holes to move up four spots on the leaderboard.

Ella Chiu is tied for 10th for the Athenas, after a strong back nine in which she was -1, with eight pars and a birdie on the 17th. 

Pomona-Pitzer holds the lead after the first round at +8 (288), while Redlands is three shots back in second place. CMS shot a 304 on its opening day and will have to try to make up a 16-shot deficit tomorrow in the second round. 

CMS will begin its second round at 10:50 a.m. tomorrow at Mountain Meadows.
