Mark Messana

CMC '89

Mark Messana is the most dominant sprinter in CMS history.  He was a 10-time All-American and the only person in Division III history to earn All-American honors in 100 and 200 meters four straight years.  He was awarded the SCIAC Athlete of Year honor in 1987 and 1988 and he was the CMS MVP in 1987, 1988 and 1989.  He was six-time SCIAC Champion winning the 200 three times, the 100 twice and the 4 x 400 once.  Upon graduation, Messana had school records in the 100 (10.52), 200 (21.26) and the 4 x 400 (3:12.60).  All three are still current CMS records and the 200 and 4 x 400 are also SCIAC records.

Messana also played two years of soccer at CMS and earned Second Team All-SCIAC honors in 1985.
