On Court: Played on Redwood HS team that captured 2005 - 2006 NCS titles...had four (4) undefeated seasons playing doubles with brother Spencer, including the 2004 NCS Doubles title...2004 NorCal Sectional doubles champion with brother Spencer...ranked #7 in Boys 18s singles in NorCal, and 27th nationally in doubles...as a freshman made his debut for the Stags at the ITA West Regionals and reached the round of 16 before losing to teammate and eventual finalist William Ellison...teamed with brother Spencer to reach the QF of the doubles before losing to teammates Eric Chow and Ben Hough...was 9-4 in singles at the #4 and #5 positions, with a win against Div I Loyola Marymount...at season ending Ojai Valley Div III tournament, defeated Redlands' #2 and Chapman #1 in straight sets before losing in three sets to eventual champ Matt Seeberger in the round of 16...had a record of 5-2 in doubles with his brother Spencer and Hough...as a sophomore at ITA West Regionals reached the round of 16 in singles (losing to finalist Kamel), and semifinals in doubles with partner Ronald Wu...8th with Wu as a team in West Region pre-season rankings...started the spring season at #4 singles and worked his way up to #2 by NCAA's...went 13-12 overall, posting a 7-2 conference record which earned him 1st Team All-SCIAC honors...had a stretch of five wins in February and March at #4 singles where he didn't lose more than four games in a single set...played almost exclusively at #2 doubles with Hough, posting an impressive 20-11 season record...as a junior spent the fall abroad in Salamanca, Spain...returned in the spring to play at #4 and #5 singles, where he was 11-8...partnered Erani and Keiffer at #3 doubles, and played one dual with Wu at #2, posting a 14-9 record overall...as a senior won two rounds at the ITA West Regionals as the 10th seed in singles...partnered twin brother Spencer to win five of six matches in the doubles, winning the consolation draw...began the spring as the Stags' most consistent performer in singles and doubles, winning his first seven dual matches in singles and first five in doubles with partner Brandon Wei...earned a career-best 21 wins against only 8 losses, playing primarily at the #3 singles position...finished 2010 ranked #41 nationally and #12 in the West in singles, with wins over #5 Meyer (Pomona-Pitzer), #11 Spearman (Redlands), #15 Koenig (UC Santa Cruz), #19 Lassila (Cal Lutheran) and #21 Delafuente (Trinity)...had best Ojai Valley Tournament of his career by reaching the singles semis and winning the doubles title with partner Brandon Wei, earning MacColl SCIAC Athlete of the Week honors for the week of April 19...he and Wei started the spring as the Stags' #4 doubles team, moved to #3 and won nine of their first ten dual matches...with the Ojai Valley title - in which they beat three #1 teams including eventual NCAA D3 Doubles Champs Pybas and Vartabedian of UC Santa Cruz in the semis, and teammates Erani and Wu in the championship match - the pair was moved to #2 doubles for the remainder of the season and rewarded with a ranking of 15th in the West!...in the NCAA West Region Final aganst UC Santa Cruz, the pair saved five match points at #2 to put the Stags up 2-1 after doubles and pave the way for the team win...year-end doubles rank improved to 11th...posted the 6th best single season win total in Stags Tennis history by winning 27 matches with four different partners (Wei, S. MacColl, Erani, and Brockett)...also 13th highest singles seaon mark for matches played (34), and 19th best singles season winning percentage (.794)...MacColl's 21-8 singles record and 27-7 doubles record gave him the most combined victories (48) of any other Stag in 2010...he earned 1st Team All-SCIAC honors for the second time in four years...his career will be remembered for the many pivotal matches he was a part of...54-32 career singles record, 66-29 career doubles record.

Personal: Member of a team of four students winning the inaugural Kravis Leadership Institute's Innovative Start Up award and $10,000 towards starting an entrepreneurial concept they developed...founded CMC Marketing Club...wrote senior thesis on the consumer psychology of impulse purchases...played in a  reggae and rock band Soul Vibration with three other students from CMC as a sophomore.
