most dominant dual match seasons in Stags Tennis history, going 22-0 in singles and 24-5 in doubles...played primarily at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles, but had seven wins at the top singles spot and three wins with partner Robert Liu at No. 1 doubles...among his 22 singles dual match wins, earned a team high four match clinches...between March 10 and May 20 lost only one singles set in 22 matches played...reached the fourth round of the 130th Pacific Coast Doubles Championships with Liu, earning wins over UCSD and UCLA teams in the process, representing the best finish at Pac Coast Doubles by a Stags doubles pair since Dorn and Wood reached the quarterfinals in 2014...Katzman earned SCIAC Athlete of the Week honors in three different weeks (Feb 25, Mar 4, and April 22)...also eaned 1st Team All-SCIAC and ITA All-American singles honors for the second straight year, and was recognized as the ITA National Player to Watch...was voted Most Valuable Player by his teammates and accolades for a GPA of better than 3.5...2019-2020 had his best fall season to date, reaching the Flight A singles final of the ITA West Regionals and then advancing to the semifinals of the ITA Cup in Rome, GA in October...partnered Robert Liu and reached the doubles semifinals at ITA Regionals...earned final fall ITA rankings of No. 2 in the west and No. 4 nationally in singles, and No. 6 in as co-captain after taking a pause in 2020-2021 when all intercollegiate sports were suspended due to COVID...reached the quaterfinals of singles and the semifinals of doubles at the ITA West Regionals...went 2-1 in singles, losing to second year teammate Philip Martin in the quarters...paired with co-captain Robert Liu to reach the semifinals, falling to teammates Martin and Nathan Arimilli...has now reached the semis or better in the ITA Regionals doubles with three different partners (Morris, Gordy, and Liu twice)...began the spring at the No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles (with Liu) positions...had best singles stretch of the season between March 25 and April 30, where he won 12 of 14 matches at each of the top four singles positions...partnered Liu, Carroll, Robinson, and Arimilli in doubles, winning his final seven matches with Arimilli to cap an extraordinary Stags Tennis career...finished 2022 with overall records of 19-9 in singles and 24-8 in doubles, earning 1st percent of his return games in 2022...was also the team's most consistent practice performer statistically...completes his Stags Tennis career with a staggering list of accomplishments, including overall records of 88-22 in singles and 92-25 in doubles...placing him 11th best all-time in singles matches won (88) and 9th in career singles win percentage (.800)...also places 11th best ever for wins in a single season (29 in 2019), as well as 7th best ever single season winning percentage (.906 in 2019)...in career doubles records, he stands at 12th for matches played (117), 8th for matches won (92), and 10th for winning percentage (.786)...he has the fewest career losses (25) of any Stag in the top 10 of career matches won...he and Rob Liu finish as the 9th best Stags doubles pair ever in wins (45), and 5th in winning percentage (.763)...he lands in the top 10 in all three categories of combined singles and doubles career success: 9th in combined singles and doubles matches played (227), 8th in combined singles and doubles matches won (180), and 3rd in combined singles and doubles winning percentage (.793)...remains the lone Stag in the top 10 of career combined singles and doubles wins with the fewest losses (47).
