Several Stags land on ITA Scholar-Athlete award list; team earns award as well

A group of four Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s tennis players received Scholar-Athlete award honors, while the men’s tennis team as a whole made the list of teams chosen for the All-Academic Team award in the recently released 2015 academic accolades from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
70 Stags and Athenas on SCIAC All-Academic Teams

On July 1, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2014-15 Spring All-Academic Teams. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps students made up 70 of the 436 athletes honored.
Wood named to 2015 ITA Collegiate All-Star Team

Warren Wood (CMC ’15) has been named the Division III All-Star of the year by Oracle/ITA on June 24. Twenty-six elite collegiate tennis players earned 2015 ITA Collegiate All-Star Team honors.

Four Stags ITA All-Americans; team ends year at No. 1

Having won the 2015 national title in May, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s tennis team ends the season ranked No. 1 in the final Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III National Team Rankings, which were recently released. In addition to the final rankings which were released, the Stags landed four players on the 2015 All-America Team.

Warren Wood (Del Mar, CA), a senior captain for the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags completed a rare Division III men's tennis triple crown at the NCAA Division III Tennis Championships from May 18-23 in Mason, Ohio.
