Settles Honored As USPTA California Men's College Coach of the Year

CMS head men's tennis coach Paul Settles received his second major coaching award for 2013, earning the USPTA California Men's College Coach of the Year honor at the USPTA's awards banquet on Saturday night at Riviera Country Club.

Settles led the Stags to their best finish in 19 years, as CMS advanced to the NCAA Division III championship match and earned a #2 year-end national ranking. The Stags also won their eighth straight outright SCIAC title, extending their conference unbeaten streak to 75 matches. In 10 years at CMS, Settles is 237-67, for a winning percentage of .780

In May, Settles was named Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Division III National Coach of the Year. Settles has won the  USPTA California Division Men's College Coach of the Year once previously, in 2006.
