Johnson, Marino, Ellis and Lane Earn ITA Scholar-Athlete Honors

Seniors Alex Johnson (Thousand Oaks, CA), Matthew Ellis (Mercer Island, WA), and Alex Lane (Claremont, CA) and sophomore Nikolas Marino (San Diego, CA) all earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for achieving a 3.5 GPA or better for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Johnson concludes his Stags Tennis career having earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors in all four of his years. He also earned COSIDA All-District Academic honors as a senior. Ellis was a three-time ITA Scholar-Athlete award winner, having done so in each of his three years of representing CMS. Both Lane and Marino earned their first ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades.

CMS Stags Tennis was also honored as an ITA All-Academic team for collectively earning a 3.21 cumulative GPA during the 2012-2013 academic year.
