Stags Win Two Against Oxy and Pacific Lutheran

CMS Stags Tennis moved to 20-3 overall and 4-0 in conference after defeating Occidental 8-1 and Pacific Lutheran 9-0 on Friday afternoon at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center. CMS was led by Alex Lane (So. - Claremont, CA), Matt Ellis (So. - Mercer Island, WA) and Andrew Duckworth (Jr. - Lake Forest, IL), all of whom won singles matches without losing a game.

CMS got their fourth consecutive doubles sweep on Friday, with only #3 pair Mac Cahill (So. - Southport, CT) and Alex Johnson (So. - Thousand Oaks, CA) getting pushed to a tie-breaker against Occidental. Senior Captain Ronald Wu (Los Altos, CA) and partner Zhenya Pereverzin (Fr. - Clackamas, OR) got their fifth straight win at the #1 position and their tenth of the spring dual match season. Wu got his 18th win of the season at #3 singles and is now 18-2. Junior Robbie Erani (New York, NY) returned to the  lineup at #1 singles and #1 doubles against Pacific Lutheran, winning comfortably in both matches.
