Men’s Tennis Wins Stag-Hen Invitational

CMS Men’s Tennis won the Stag-Hen Invitational, defeating Colorado College 9-0 on Friday, and then 16th ranked Trinity College 8-1 in the semifinals, and 6th ranked Amherst 7-2 in championship, both played on Saturday. It was the Stags’ second title in the tournament’s three-year history. Junior Mikey Lim (Honolulu, HI), was one of seven Stags to win all of his singles matches on the weekend.

Sophomore Ronald Wu (Los Altos, CA) and doubles partner Robbie Erani (Fr. – New York, NY), also had productive weekends. Wu was the only Stag to win three singles and three doubles matches. He dropped the first set of his match at #6 singles against Amherst, but then came back to win the next two sets and clinch the title for CMS. Erani won his 14th singles match, tying teammate Victor Chien (Fr. – Diamond Bar, CA) for the team lead. By adding three more wins in the tournament, Erani and Wu are now 6-2 at the #2 doubles position.
