Stags Split Against Santa Barbara Schools

CMS Tennis lost to #67 UCSB Saturday morning by a score of 7-0, but then rebounded to defeat #22 (NAIA) Westmont College 7-2 in the afternoon, to complete a season opening three-match road trip. In the first match of the day, and UCSB's season opener, the Stags were competitive but failed to win a set against their nationally ranked Division I opponents. In the second match, the Stags swept the doubles (and by NAIA rules, earning three points instead of one), and then went on to win four of six singles matches at Westmont.
