Stags Fall 4-3 In Season Opener at Cal Poly SLO
The CMS Stags Tennis Team lost a hard fought season opener to Division I Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on Friday in Central California. With rain delaying the start of the match until 3:00 PM, both teams fielded their singles players first, with the Stags winning at the number one, three, and five positions. Eric Chow (#1), David Oehm (#3), and Evan Feldhausen (#5), all posted wins in their season debuts. In the decisive doubles matches, Cal Poly won all three pro-sets to win the point and clinch the match. The Stags continue their three match road trip on Saturday, with a 9:00 AM match at #67 UC Santa Barbara, followed by a 2:00 PM match at #22 (NAIA) Westmont College in the afternoon.
