Bio

Eliot Scymanski enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps swimming and diving program, after spending his last three seasons as an assistant coach at Dartmouth. 

While with the Big Green, Scymanski served as the recruiting coordinator for the men's team, as well as organizing a fundraiser that produced over $40,000 for the team budget. His efforts on the coaching staff helped Dartmouth earn three school records and 29 top-16 Ivy League performances during his tenure. While in Hanover, he also worked as an assistant coach with the Dartmouth College Club Triathlon, conducting swim lessons and writing training plans for budding triathletes, and co-founded The Endurance Drive, a triathlon coaching business.

Prior to accepting the job at Dartmouth, Scymanski served as an assistant swim coach and aquatics director at his alma mater, Franklin & Marshall College from 2012-15, where he coached three NCAA qualifiers and two top-16 NCAA finishers. 

An accomplished athlete in his own right, Scymanski was a 2017 qualifier for the 70.3 World Championships, placing third overall and first in the 25-29 age group. He was also a CCC individual champion while competing for the Franklin & Marshall swim team in 2010. 

A 2012 graduate of Franklin & Marshall, Scymanski earned his bachelor's degree in environmental studies.
