Men’s Golf: 2016 SCIAC Championships Preview

BEAUMONT, Calif. – The nationally ranked No. 3 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's golf team tees off at the 2016 SCIAC Golf Championships on Sunday, April 24 at Oak Valley Golf Course. The three-round event runs from April 24-26. Through two SCIAC Tournaments and four rounds, CMS is the leader heading into the SCIAC Championships and has a combined team total of 1,214. Eight strokes behind CMS is Cal Lutheran (1,222), followed by Redlands (1,225).

The Stags who are chasing after the program's 11th SCIAC championship and first since 2014, finished second at the SCIAC Championships in 2015 and third overall in SCIAC during the season. Competing for the Stags are sophomore Jackson Zepf (CMC) who led CMS at the most recent SCIAC Tournament, sophomore Jonathan Shaw (CMC) who won the SCIAC's first tournament of the season and was the individual medalist at the SCIAC Championships in 2015, freshman Alex Wrenn (CMC), sophomore Matt Shuman (CMC), senior Kethan Reddy (CMC) and sophomore Johnny Brandt (CMC).

All spectators will need to check in at the welcome table to purchase a wristband EACH DAY at the following prices as per the SCIAC:
