CLAREMONT, Calif. - Junior guard Josh Angle earned a selection to the All-SCIAC first team, and senior forward TJ Askew captured a spot on the second team in a vote of the league's coaches, the conference office announced today.

Angle averaged a team-high 18.5 points for the Stags during the regular season, including 18.8 points in SCIAC contests. Four times he had at least 30 points in a game, including in an opening day win against Puget Sound, as well as a career-high 36 in a win over Redlands.

Askew, meanwhile, averaged 15.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists for the Stags, while also contributing on the defensive end, where he averaged a team-high 1.8 blocks per game. He was twice named the SCIAC Defensive Player of the Week and once earned the Offensive Player of the Week honor. He had a career-high 26 points in a win over Pacific, and added 23 in a big non-conference win over Linfield.

CMS concluded the regular season with a 16-7 overall record and a 10-6 mark in SCIAC, good for third place.
