Bio

High School: A three-year Varsity starting infielder and pitcher for Palo Alto High School…as a senior captain, he helped lead the team to a school record 29 wins, including a 24-game win streak and undefeated league championship…hit .398 while recording a school record 13 victories and striking out 71 in 69 innings on the mound…also stole 15 bases in 15 attempts...was named co-MVP of the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League (SCVAL), first team all-league as a shortstop, first team All-San Jose Mercury News, Pitcher of the Year by the Palo Alto Daily News, and third team all state as a pitcher by Max Preps…was also a two-year Varsity starter at free safety for Paly's football team…as a junior, led the section with six interceptions and was named second team all SCVAL…as a senior captain, he helped lead the team to an undefeated league championship and was named the SCVAL's defensive back of the year and first team all-league, as well as second team All-San Jose Mercury News.

2011: Started all 40 games at second base for the Stags as a freshman… hit .333 and led the team in doubles (16), total bases (75), slugging percentage (.510), and on base percentage (.434)…co-led the team in home runs (2)…second on the team in walks (19) and steals (10)…third in RBI (21)…his 16 doubles were the 3rd highest in the SCIAC…one of three freshman named to the ABCA/Rawlings Division III West All-Region team (third team)…part of the middle infield that turned a Division III leading 1.44 doubles plays per game.

2012: Started all 40 games in the middle infield for the Stags as a sophomore… hit .333 for his second straight year leading the team in runs scored (31), home runs (3), slugging percentage (.489), walks (22), and on base percentage (.448)…second on the team in hits (45) and steals, successful in 14 of 14 attempts…named first team all SCIAC as a second baseman.

2013: Started all 37 games at shortstop for the Stags as a junior...hit .328 and led the team in runs scored (31), doubles (13), home runs (6), stolen bases (11), and slugging percentage (.565)…second on team in hits (43), RBI (26), and on base percentage (.429)…had 12 multi-hit games including two season high three hit games against Occidental and at Chapman…his 6 home runs were good for 4th in the SCIAC… named to the ABCA/Rawlings Division III West All-Region third team as a shortstop.
