Bio

High School: A four-year Varsity infielder and closer for St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Austin, Texas…started at short-stop his freshman year on JV, as well as playing second-base for Varsity in 15 games…started at second-base his sophomore and Junior years (2010-2011) on Varsity and moved on to start at shortstop his Senior year (2012) as Captain, leading the team hitting .338 with 14 doubles, 3 triples and 13 stolen bases…closed 10 games recording 10 saves with 19 strikeouts…was named All-SPC conference 1st Team SS his senior year. In addition, a four-year Varsity starting Midfielder for Soccer, leading the team in goals his sophomore and junior years, as well as leading the team as captain in assists, yellow and red cards his senior year…named All-SPC conference 1st Team his senior year…also a one-year Varsity Cross Country runner his senior year placing 2nd slot overall on the team with a 5:03 mile….named All-SPC conference 2nd Team. Graduated High School with a 3.68 and was awarded National Hispanic Scholar.

2013: Middle-Infielder appearing in 10 games his freshman year with 4 starts, spending the beginning of the season recovering from a lower back sciatica injury… In 19 AB’s, walked once with 2 hits… fielded .958 with appearances at second-base and shortstop. Started at shortstop in 30 games for University of Baseball Elite in the Centex Collegiate Baseball League in Texas during the summer...hit .375 in 94 AB’s.

Personal: Alan was born and raised in Round Rock, Texas...is the son of Jose and Leticia Toscano...has 2 siblings, Ashley and Anique...Ashley graduated from Pomona College in 2012 and Anique is a high school junior at St. Stephen’s…Alan is an Economics major with a Leadership Sequence at CMC.
