Jeremy Horn - Men's Basketball

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Senior forward Jeremy Horn was almost perfect, shooting a combined 16-17 from the floor and 2-2 from the foul line, as the CMS men's basketball team won both of its games at the David Wells Classic over Lewis & Clark and Pacific (Ore.) on Friday and Saturday.

Horn was 5-5 from the floor for 10 points as CMS defeated Lewis & Clark 82-49 on Saturday, and then set a new career high with 24 points on 11-12 shooting as the Stags rolled past Pacific 114-92. The Stags improved to 3-1 on the year with the two wins, while continuing its streak of scoring 80 points or more in every game in the early part of the 2019-20 campaign.

Horn's only field goal miss of the week came on the very first possession of the contest against Pacific, when he had his initial shot blocked, but got the ball right back and put it in, starting a streak of 11 straight made field goals over the final 39:40 of the game. His 24 points surpassed his previous career-high of 20, which he set last season.

CMS will be back in action this weekend when it travels to the Bay area to face UC Santa Cruz on Friday and Cal Maritime on Saturday.
