Bio
Rhodes was a truly special part of CMS track and cross country as an athlete and a leader. He lettered in both sports all four years at Harvey Mudd. As a track athlete, he was a three-time All-America in the 800 meters, including National Champion as a senior. He was voted SCIAC Athlete of the Year in 1992 and won seven SCIAC titles, including four straight in the 800. He is one of only eight males to win a track event four times in the history of the SCIAC. He served as track team captain in 1993 and 1994. Rhodes graduated with the CMS record in the 800 (1:49.69) and was ranked ninth in Division III history at the time. In cross country, he was a two-year team captain. He earned first-team All-SCIAC honors in 1993 and second-team All-SCIAC honors in 1990 and 1992. He was a member of the SCIAC championship team in 1993, which qualified for the NCAA Championships and finished in 17th.
