Bio

One of the best all-purpose players in Stags tennis history, Lance led CMS to four top-10 national finishes and three SCIAC titles. He reached the finals of the NCAA singles tournament and partnered to win the NCAA doubles tournament. He won the NCAA doubles national championship in 1988 and was a singles finalist in 1991. Au was a four-time All-America in singles, three-time All-America in doubles (1988, 1990, 1991), SCIAC Player of the Year (1990), four-time first-team All-SCIAC selection and team co-captain (1990 and 1991). Upon graduation, he was first at CMS in singles career wins (104), second in doubles career wins (92), first in combined doubles and singles wins (196), first in single-season doubles wins (30 - 1988), first in single-season doubles team wins (29 - 1988 with Frank Hinman) and second in single-season singles wins (29 - 1988).
