Bio

Krieger was the consummate teacher and coach as a professor of mathematics as well as the Stags' tennis head coach and mentor. He was voted Division III National Coach of the Year in 1985 and 1993. His overall match record was 407-222 (.647) and his SCIAC match record was 212-33 (.865). His teams were ranked among the top-15 in the final national rankings 20 times in his 22 seasons. Krieger is held in highest esteem by his players, the CMS program, and the national tennis community. Career coaching highlights: head coach for 22 seasons, 10 NCAA Top-4 championship finishes, 1981 NCAA National Championship, coached four singles and three doubles national champions, 24 of his players earned 53 All-America'' honors, Division III National Coach of the Year (1985, 1993), nine SCIAC Championships, 33 of his players earned 66 first-team All-SCIAC honors and five SCIAC MVPs, SCIAC Distinguished Service Award winner (2000).
