Bio

LaRock was the first great sprinter at Claremont-Mudd. His name filled the record books in the individual sprint events as well as the relays. Upon graduation, he held records in the 100 (9.7), 220 (21.5), 400 (48.8), and was a member of the 4x110, 4x220 and 4x400 relays record teams, all of which he anchored. The Littleton, Colo., native was the team captain his junior and senior years. He was the first CMS athlete to win back-to-back SCIAC titles when he won the 100-yard dash at the 1963 and 1964 SCIAC Track & Field Championships. The consummate team guy in an individual sport, LaRock was particularly proud of being on three school-record relay teams.
