Unprecedented fourth place ranking in Learfield Directors’ Cup

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Claremont-Mudd-Scripps ended the 2016-17 academic year with the program-high mark of fourth in the NCAA Division III Learfield Directors' Cup.

CMS has risen in standing in each year since 2008-09. In the 22 years of the Directors' Cup rankings, the Stags and Athenas have placed in the top-60 on 20 occasions, and this year marks the first time breaking into the top-5. Last year, CMS broke records with a top-10 finish and now reached new heights at fourth place.
