Bio

Young Kim joins the Sports Information staff for his first year in 2016-17. He served as the Sports Information Assistant at Cypress College in 2015-16. At Cypress, Kim managed in-game statistics for all sports and produced graphics and content for the school's social media accounts. 

Prior to working at Cypress, he was a staff writer for football.com and the FanSided Network, specializing in professional soccer. As a college student at UC Irvine, he served as the sports editor for the school newspaper, The New University. 

He received his M.A. in Sports Management from Cal State Long Beach on January 2017. He graduated from UC Irvine with a literary journalism major in 2012.

Young is a passionate sports fan, supporting the LA Dodgers, LA Clippers, Manchester United, and Oakland Raiders.
