Bio

Raechel (Cunningham) Holmes is in her 14th year as a member of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps athletic training staff in 2022-23. In addition to her role as an athletic trainer, she has also assisted in the development and promotion of the CMS Health and Wealthness Fair, held a position as a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) advisor, and served as a JED Claremont McKenna Committee Member and on an Eating Disorder Task Force at Claremont's seven colleges. 

During her tenure with CMS, Holmes has co-authored a submission for the NCAA CHOICES grant, and created and implemented the athletic department's Concussion Management Program. She has also served as a traveling administrator for various CMS teams in NCAA competition.

Holmes joined the CMS Sports Medicine Staff as assistant athletic trainer in 2009 after finishing a two year internship at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo while completeing her coursework for a Master's in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) since 2003, the Far West Athletic Trainers Association (FWATA) since 2006 and the California Athletic Trainers Association (CATA) since 2006. 

Holmes graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training from the University of La Verne. In her free time, she likes returning to San Luis Obispo, going to Glamis, and spending time on the boat at Lake Havasu.
