Roselyn Cantu, better known as "Roz" or "Rozzle Dozzle" by her fellow Athenas, found her passion for running during freshmen spring semester. But it took her several tries to find her "niche." After trying volleyball, basketball, tennis, and track sprints, she finally found herself running distance. Cross country is by far her favorite sport. Her favorite inspirational quote is "When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on" (Franklin D. Roosevelt). This native San Diegan enjoys trips to Coronado Island, where you’ll find her admiring the sunset and eating MooTime’s strawberry ice cream- despite her semi-lactose intolerance. You can also catch her sleeping the night away for 10+ hours, what she does best. This CMC senior is bilingual in Chinese and English and is currently strengthening her Spanish to become trilingual. She's majoring in International Relations with a sequence in Gender Studies. Her abroad experience includes a semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina in spring 2016 and a summer internship in Singapore this year. No matter where she goes, Roselyn likes to travel great distances by plane or by foot.
