Tavé joins staff at Academy of Art

CLAREMONT, Calif. – Former Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Assistant Cross Country and Track Coach, Jennifer Tavé, has taken a coaching position at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.  Jen, a 2012 Scripps College graduate and CMS athlete was a two-time All-American in cross country (in 2009 and 10) and one-time in track (2011).

As an athlete in the CMS distance program, she leaves CMS as the school record holder in the 10k (35:22.27) as well as having the fastest 6k cross country time (20:51.8).  Following her competitive years at CMS, Jen moved to Fort Collins Colorado where she earned her Masters at Colorado State University while competing for the Rams in both track and cross country.

Following her year in Fort Collins, she returned to Claremont and joined the coaching staff for John Goldhammer.  According to Goldhammer "Coach Tavé has been invaluable to our distance program and athletes.  Her knowledge of nutrition, training, and preparation for competition was a wonderful addition to our program.  She will be missed.  We wish her the very best as she continues with her coaching career in San Francisco.  I am sure she will be a great addition to Coach Olson's staff."
