Bio

Matilda hails from scenic Oak Park, IL, where she learned that running on sidewalk is enjoyable as long as you don’t step on the cracks and that the nearby woods are not too sketchy as long as you only go on the weekend mornings. Matilda is excited to be a sophomore at Scripps, where she is still searching for her major, as well as also probably searching for her lost student ID(s). In addition to running, Matilda enjoys talking, cooking, rollerblading, swimming, and spending too much time at the dining halls. Matilda’s proudest accomplishment was winning 2^nd place in the 2016 Tour de Frank. Aside from the one time she face planted, Matilda enjoyed running the steeplechase during track, as well as the occasional 5k. This summer, Matilda had fun training with her new gps watch named “Malea” but she decided the other Malea she knows is more fun to run with, and doesn’t beep at her when Matilda asks to stop to use the bathroom.
